SailTime is the world's leading sailing membership company, providing low commitment, affordable sailing to both new and experienced sailors.
In the UK we provide a range of shore based and practical offshore training to members and non-members through our network of Royal Yachting Association (RYA) Training Centres.
RYA Training Centres
SailTime has several RYA Training Centres in the UK. These sea schools offer introductory sailing weekends, master classes, mile builder passages, instructional cruises, RYA courses, and qualifications up to the Yachtmaster Offshore Certificate of Competence.
All our sea schools offer RYA sailing courses and several also offer RYA powerboat training.
If our scheduled courses do not meet your particular needs, then our instructors are able to develop a bespoke training programme for you. We can also put together training holidays for families who want to learn to sail together.
High Quality Boats
Our sailing and motor yachts are all less than 5 years old with an average age of 2 years. They are all presented with a high level of specification, and rigorously maintained by our sea schools to a superior standard.
RYA Course Instructors
The quality of our RYA training is determined by the abilities of our instructors. All our instructors are known to us, have passed our assessment process, and actively maintain their sailing and training skills.
Student Focus
We ensure that students have the best possible offshore training by providing the following:
- Our pupil to instructor ratio on RYA courses is lower than most other sailing schools
- We arrange our split offshore courses so that you will always have the same instructor on the second or third session.
SailTime Membership
Once you have seen our boats and your local SailTime base, you may want to progress to SailTime membership. If you don't already have a yacht or power boat there is no easier or cost effective way to get afloat.
We offer students who successfully qualify from a SailTime sea school with an RYA offshore course at Day Skipper or higher, a refund of their course fees if they decide to join SailTime.
